Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Bangor, ME 04401
Shift: Days 6:30am - 3pm
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Pay: $23-26/hr
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant specializing in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Management and Mobility Enhancement (ME), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and assistance to patients with MS. You will work closely with healthcare teams to monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, assist with daily activities, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare providers
- Administer medications and assist with medical treatments as directed by healthcare providers
- Help patients with mobility issues by providing assistance with walking, transferring, and positioning
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Document patient care activities and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Experience working with patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
